Cate Edwards Authors Article in NCAJ’s Trial Briefs Magazine

Founding Partner and Personal Injury Attorney, Cate Edwards, in Raleigh, North Carolina

Founding Partner Cate Edwards was published in the Winter 2022 edition of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice’s Trial Briefs Magazine. Her article, “Avoiding Summary Judgment – Start Preparing for This Motion as Soon as You Get a Case,” is about getting the case to a jury. Summary judgment is a motion defendants file to attempt to dismiss cases before a jury decides them. Cate is a veteran at defeating these motions and overcoming this defense tactic. Her article guides other lawyers on ways to prepare their lawsuits to win these motions, so that cases reach a jury and, hopefully, people who have been injured are able to recover for the wrongful acts against them.
