
DAVID J. BROWN was born in Los Angeles in 1971. Mr. Brown graduated from Brandeis University in 1993 with a B.A. in Economics. While attending Brandeis, Mr. Brown volunteered as mentor to local youth through the Waltham Project.
After graduating the Brandeis University, Mr. Brown attended the Loyola University School of Law and graduated in 1996.
After graduating law school, Mr. Brown worked as an associate at Egerman & Brown, LLP. While there, Mr. Brown worked on a varied set of legal issues that included wills, trusts, probate, and civil litigation.
In 1999, Mr. Brown left the practice of law to pursue Internet related business opportunities. Mr. Brown joined Small World Toys, a specialty toy distributor, as their e-commerce director responsible for all Internet related sales. In that capacity Mr. Brown oversaw and directly managed the growth of Internet sales from 1% of total company sales to 10%. Mr. Brown and the Director of Operations for Small World Toys both left and formed a new company (with the blessing of SWT) called eServicePro, an outsourcing company. Mr. Brown managed the legal transcription and graphic/web design divisions of the company until September 2001.
In September 2001, Mr. Brown become Director of Operations for The Pencil Grip, Inc. In his capacity as Director of Operations, Mr. Brown was responsible for improving the efficiency of the warehouse operations, improved packaging, improved product mix, and shifting the product manufacturing to China for greater cost and production efficiency. In November 2004, Mr. Brown resigned his full time position and worked as a consultant for The Pencil Grip, Inc.
Mr. Brown formed his own company, CDB Company, LLC, in 2004. In his capacity at CDB Company, Mr. Brown oversaw the development of several new products including pocket versions of The Bill of Rights and The Ten Commandments. In addition, CDB Company, LLC operates several web properties and online publications.
In 2006, Mr. Brown returned full time to the practice of law, armed with real world business experience and Internet savvy. Mr. Brown’s practice consists of estate planning, general business advice, and litigation
